GLMR AT RCHIVE

PROJECT DETAILS

Part of the on going video series GVXY, a series meant to artistically capture and recreate the vibe and aesthetics of 90s video culture, this video is a fun and bit sized showcase featuring some of the newest upcoming fashion designers in Toronto Ontario (these designers being Tailored Noise, Ongna Studios, Safi Creatives, and Udopi).

Problems & Solutions: This project had quite the difficulties because I was asked by some Tailored Noise representatives to get some footage of their walk time with no further instruction but to do it in my style, and had to make due with my basic media pass as to not get in the way of the veteran photographers. However, this limitation was actually a blessing because it allowed me to take the time to go up multiple floors and get some very creative top-down shots utilizing my camera's optical zoom. Though I was quite amazed by how my shots came out, I then had to figure out how to get the most exciting parts of the event condensed into a short edited video. I took the time to block out the shots and timing of my clips and ended up creating a wonderfully moody work that accurately captured the themes of many of the designer's garments.
